When counting on results, count on me
San Antonio, Texas has been my home ever since I was 9 years old. I grew up in this city and thought it was perfect until I reached law school. I had always had an interest in criminal defense but once I entered the Criminal Clinic at St. Mary’s University, this interest became a passion. I quickly learned that unless you and your attorney fight for your rights, the prosecution will run you over. I graduated magna cum laude at the University of Texas at San Antonio and in law school at St. Mary’s University. In addition to being in the top 5% at St. Mary’s, I was awarded the Pro Bono Service Award for my work at the criminal clinic.
LIFE AFTER LAW SCHOOL
After passing the bar, I immediately began working as a criminal defense attorney. I have lived in the courtroom fighting for my clients who go up against “The State of Texas” or “The United States of America.” I have been to trial on numerous cases in order to protect and fight for my clients. Recently, I had a client wrongfully charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. We knew it was self-defense and rejected every offer that the prosecution threw at us. We had developed a fantastic case through hard-work and investigation. We were two steps ahead at every point winning arguments to the judge and jury. After nearly a two-week trial, my client was vindicated with a verdict of “Not-Guilty.”
AFTER A TRIAL
In addition to those cases, I have handled a number of appeals and writs of habeas corpus fighting for clients who were wrongfully convicted. Sometimes I do not get the case until after a trial has already happened. Although it is difficult to win cases after that, all hope is not lost. This is where my meticulous attention to detail and relentless work-ethic really come to play. I will fight for you, and with you, from the very start until the end.
WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU
I take my job seriously to zealously defend each and everyone of my clients. Facing a criminal charge is one of the most stressful experiences that a person and their family can face; facing it without an attorney that you trust and respect will only make that experience worse. I cannot guarantee anyone success in every case that I handle. I can guarantee that you won’t find another attorney who will work harder and smarter than me in any case.
